They do say you should follow your gut for a reason!
[But that's how life happens, even here. She and Anna have both been here a while, known who the other is to a vague extent, but if they hadn't run into each other that evening months ago...]
[Anna is grinning, the flowers dotting the top of her head blooming a little wider as they're wont to do when she's especially happy. Her cheek tucked into Korra's shoulder, she bats her eyelashes up at the werebear. Her girlfriend. Oh, that's a nice thought.]
By the way, in case you were wondering, you can definitely kiss me.
[And also something Korra had kind of assumed, considering how Anna greeted her. Kissing was apparently very much on the table. And she's pretty eager to get back to that, but...]
Oh, one second, I'll be right back.
[The red lantern in her window is almost burned down, she has to change it. Reluctantly, she pulls herself away from Anna and the couch and pulls another candle out of the drawer.]
With everything going on, we're on red alert, and it's the lanterns here that let everybody else know what's up. My lantern and the Nest ones go on first, then everybody puts their lanterns up. It works way better than a telephone chain or something like that.
[Anna lets Korra slip away with equal reluctance, settling onto the sofa in her brief absence with one leg tucked beneath herself. While Korra tends to her lantern, Anna finally takes a moment to look around her little flat, and...it's nice. Definitely not what Anna expected, but that's not a bad thing.]
Jeez, sounds stressful. [Oh, no, is she being a nuisance?] Um, I can...if you need me to leave it's no problem!
[Forgetting entirely, of course, that Korra invited her here in the first place.]

Yeah, you can. I mean if you want to.
