I'm good with a hut. And it was a fun project for me and my Pokemon.
[She hadn't built it all by herself, after all.]
I guess we are! I mostly want to make sure it's still there...there's been weird weather and everything. And it is kind of in the middle of the woods... it could be taken over my wild Pokemon.
Yeah, they did! We work really well together. And a lot of mine are elemental Pokemon, so I've been teaching them to use some of their moves the way I used bending back home.
[It's as close as she can come, outside of those weird weekends that happened a couple of times a year.]
We make all kinds of cool stuff out of ice and snow, in winter. I was trying to get a competition off the ground, so people can show off their Pokemon but not in battles. A lot of people don't do the battle thing or the Gym thing. But everybody else working on it went home.
[Which is too bad. A lot of people had been excited for it. That's even why she picked Mahogany as her 'home' city. Or at least the woods by it.]
That sounds like something that would be a lot of fun. And honestly I'm surprised something like that doesn't already go on. A lot of people would have fun with that sort of thing.
[Including Cissnei herself. Battling was a lot of fun and a good test of skill but some of her Pokemon weren't fighters but they were impressive all on their own.]
If you want to try and put something like that together still, I'd be happy to help.
[As she says it, she stands, carefully cradling Tseng in her arm while she tucks her notebook under her other arm.]
It could be a lot of fun. Something to get everyone together that doesn't end with Team Rocket crashing the party.
Yeah, a lot of people were into it! just...not doing all the work that needs doing to make it happen. But yeah, I'd like to try and get something done. I think a lot of people would really like it. I've got a folder, back at my hut, I'll grab it while I'm there.
[She hasn't looked it over in a while, but it's got what both she and Twilight had come up with.]
[Cissnei nods, looking quite pleased with the idea of having something to actually help with. Not that vacationing with Korra wasn't fantastic--because it was--but once they were done they were going to need something to do.]
I think I can handle taking you out to dinner, Korra.
[It's said in a way that isn't quite her agreeing to buy her a "I'm sorry" dinner but more...an offer of a date, maybe?
There's a sly grin on Cissnei's lips when she says it, the Turk playing it cool as she whistles for her Honchkrow, Rue.]
[Okay, there's no way Korra is misinterpreting that. She knows she's not exactly great at telling the difference between friendship and something more, but...]
[Uuugh. What is she going to do? Because there's clearly something here. It's nothing she's encouraged or looked for, but it happens. Like it had happened with Elsa and Asami when she wasn't around.]
[But at least this little break will give her time to think about it.]
Yeah, that sounds good. It looks like we'll be on schedule to hit the islands and avoid the cold weather. Don't get me wrong, I love the snow, but...I think I can use a change. For a little while.
[And it's not like they can't pop back for snowy fun, if they want to. Which Korra will probably want to. But she's wanted to visit the islands for so long now, and even if maybe it's not the smartest idea to go there alone with Cissnei...]
[Right now, the idea of tropical islands actually sounds more appealing than another winter in Johto.]
I'm kind of pleased at the idea of avoiding snow. I've never been a huge fan, especially when the option to be on a tropical island is there for the taking.
[Snow was alright but it reminded her of things. And while she did want to eventually see the snowball launcher that Korra had told her about, maybe it would be best to avoid snow for as long as possible.]
I think Rocket will enjoy being back home for a bit as well.
[Come now, Korra. Spending quality time alone with her on the islands will be fantastic~]
Snow always makes me think of home. I spent sixteen years living in the tundra. I was so excited when I could finally see the world... but it was always nice to go home every now and then. I'll probably make at least one trip back to Johto, in winter.
[But otherwise, she's in agreement. Tropical islands and vacationing. No chances of being snowed in, like happened kind of enough for it to pop into her head.]
I definitely want to catch one some island Pokemon. I've seen some of the variations, they're cool! Not to mention all the water types that are gonna be there.
Yeah. It's been a while since I saw it. But it's okay, I know everything's fine back home.
[She just misses it sometimes. Her parents, her family, her friends... but she's spent more than enough time being homesick. The whole point of this vacation was to help her not do that.]
It makes me wish I still had my bending here. All the time, not just a couple of weekends every year. I want to take Sentra out into the ocean and just....
[Running out of words in a sudden flare of frustration over not having her abilities, she just vaguely makes elaborate bending gestures instead.]
[Things had finally gone back to normal..well, as normal as things could be. Nightmares were still lingering for Cissnei but she was doing her best to deal with it, her Ghost Pokemon aiding her where they could. She and Korra had ended up on Six island at the end of it all and it was nice to be somewhere less haunting and more warm and welcoming.
Even if it was a bit difficult to enjoy it all right now.
Six Island was definitely a more relaxed island than the others they had visited and Cissnei was glad for the change. It gave her a chance to just relax and collect her thoughts, get herself back to normal.
She had left most of her Pokemon back at the hotel they were staying at for the time being though Reno and Shuriken had refused to leave her alone, tagging along as she headed out to explore the town. All of the residents she met were pleasant and easy going and by the time she settled on the beach she was feeling better. Reno was dozing on his back in the sand beside her while Shuriken padded about closer to the water, nosing at shells and startling a few other Pokemon in the process. Cissnei was staring out at the water, hands resting behind her with her fingers buried in the sand, attempting to find that same peace she had been experiencing before all the nightmares.
It was just..difficult to forget everything she had seen in that forest...]
[Cissnei isn't the only one still bothered by what had happened in the nightmare forest.]
[Korra's fears have never been so stark and clear before. She'd seen herself, in her middle age, and the life had been so nice...but not hers. It was some hell she'd been trapped in. It's too close to real life, too much a possibility.]
[As always, when she's feeling troubled, Korra's at the water's edge. Iqniq is with her, and even his presence is mildly unsettling. She loves the Arcanine. He's her constant companion, her sidekick through thick and thin. And he's part of this world. There are so many good things in this world, so many possibilities. And she's seen it as a nightmare. She doesn't want that. She knows she's trapped here but she doesn't want it to feel like a trap, she's going to go crazy if she feels like that much longer.]
[She slows as she sees Cissnei down the beach. She hasn't asked about what happened to the other woman, she doesn't need to ask to know it wasn't great.]
[Shuriken had trotted over the moment she smelled Korra and Iqniq, nodding to the Arcanine before she bumps against Korra's legs in greeting. Her trainer is a bit slower to realize, even after the other young woman speaks, blinking out of her thoughts and looking over.]
Korra. Hey.
[She manages a faint smile now that she's back in the moment, sitting up and drawing her knees up so she can loosely wrap her arms around them.]
[Shuriken rubs against her hand before trotting over to Cissnei as Korra goes, settling on the ground on the opposite side of Reno who..is still passed right out.]
It really is lovely..I never got much of a chance to visit back home.
[One time. She had visited the beach one time..with Zack.]
[Korra flops down, stretching out her legs and propping her arms behind her.]
It was really messed up. I...it was like twenty or thirty years in the future. And I was living here somewhere, in a cute little house, living a cute little Pokemon life and I couldn't stop. I couldn't leave that house.
